Angel Lights Up CinemaCon 2025 with Bold New Slate of Films
This week at CinemaCon, Angel took the stage to unveil our most ambitious theatrical lineup yet. In a room filled with theater owners, industry leaders, and film fans, we shared first looks at our upcoming films—including exclusive new trailers—and reaffirmed our commitment to bringing world-changing stories to the big screen.
A Slate of Light, Hope, and Spectacle
Theater owners were the first to witness new footage from some of our most anticipated projects:
🎬 The King of Kings – Through a father's vivid storytelling, a boy journeys through Jesus' life, from humble beginnings to ultimate sacrifice. In theaters next week, April 11, 2025!
🎬 The Last Rodeo – To save his grandson, a retired rodeo star enters a high-stakes bull-riding competition. This action-packed ride of a lifetime hits theaters May 23, 2025.
🎬 Sketch – A comedic action-adventure about a girl whose grief-fueled drawings spring to life, wreaking havoc on her small town. Directed by Seth Worley, Sketch hits theaters August 6, 2025.
🎬 Truth & Treason – The gripping true story of Helmuth Hübener, a teenager who risked everything to stand against the Nazi regime. This historical thriller arrives in theaters October 17, 2025.
🎬 Zero A.D. – The untold origin of a revolution. A brutal ruler fears a prophecy and orders the death of a child—one who will change history. Alejandro Monteverde's next film is coming December 19, 2025.
"Shaping the Future of Cinema"
During our presentation, Executive Vice President Brandon Purdie spoke directly to theater owners, celebrating the Angel Guild and the power of cinema to unite and inspire audiences worldwide. "The Angel Guild has been instrumental in furthering Angel’s mission and boosting our box-office success, helping to approve films that amplify light and resonate deeply with moviegoers," Purdie said. "At Angel, we believe that when you—the world’s exhibitors—make space for these stories, audiences show up.”
The successes of films like Sound of Freedom and Cabrini have proven that there is a global appetite for meaningful, powerful storytelling. Our CinemaCon slate builds on that momentum, with films designed to thrill, challenge, and uplift audiences.
