Slated for International Theatrical Rollout Beginning on August 6, Film Stars Tony Hale and D’Arcy Carden.

Las Vegas, NV—April 2, 2025—Updated April 4, 2025

Las Vegas, NV – April 2, 2025 Angel, the film & TV platform curated by over one million members of the Angel Guild, announced today at CinemaCon that it has negotiated a deal with Wonder Project and UTA’s Independent Film Group, and will be handling worldwide distribution rights for the feature film SKETCH. Angel will begin the film’s roll out to theaters worldwide beginning August 6, 2025.

Starring Emmy Award-winning actor Tony Hale (Veep, Arrested Development) and D’Arcy Carden (The Good Place, Barry), the wildly imaginative film is written and directed by Seth Worley. At the film’s debut at the 2024 Toronto Film Festival, SKETCH played to sold out audiences and critical praise. The film is currently sitting strong at 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, including reviews from The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Collider, and The Wrap.

"Bringing the family-adventure movie SKETCH into the Angel fold is a true privilege," stated Jared Geesey, Chief Distribution Officer of Angel. "Tony Hale’s standout performance, Seth Worley’s imaginative debut as a director, and Steve Taylor’s masterful production come together to deliver a film that we’re confident will be cherished by families and movie lovers for years ahead."

"SKETCH is the kind of film that begs to be seen on the big screen,” said Brandon Purdie, EVP & Head of Theatrical at Angel. “Seth Worley’s bold vision and genre-blending storytelling create a thrilling, deeply entertaining ride for all ages—one that transports audiences in a way only cinema can. This is the perfect summer movie: fun, fresh, and made to be devoured in a cinema with popcorn."

"I'm so glad that Seth Worley's unforgettable vision will be coming to the big screen, and I'm grateful to our friends and partners at Angel for making this dream a reality," said Jon Erwin, founder of Wonder Project and executive producer of SKETCH.

Referred to by Worley as "Jurassic Park meets Inside Out“, SKETCH tells the story of a single dad (Hale) still reeling from the unexpected loss of his wife. He and his two children navigate uncharted territory when his daughter’s comically dark, scribbled drawings begin to come to life and wreak havoc on their small town. Carden shines as the fiercely protective Aunt Liz while the young cast is filled out by Bianca Belle, Kue Lawrence, and Kalon Cox.

SKETCH is produced by Steve Taylor, Tony Hale, Kevin Downes, Daryl Lefever, and Katelyn Botsch. Dusty Brown and Shun Lee Fong are co-producers. Executive producers for SKETCH are Andrew Erwin, Tony Young, Jon Erwin, Justin Rosenblatt and Sean Devereaux.
