Award-winning Afghan pop singer and women rights activist is joined by the Brooklyn Youth Chorus with an anthem of unity: “We Believe in Hope”
Provo, UT—March 6, 2025
Renowned Afghan pop singer and women’s rights activist Aryana Sayeed has teamed up with the acclaimed Brooklyn Youth Chorus to record the inspiring original song, “We Believe in Hope,” for Angel Studios’ highly anticipated film Rule Breakers. The track, composed by Emmy Award-winning composer Jeff Beal, Joan Beal, and Sayeed, is now available on all major music digital platforms.
Rule Breakers, set to hit theaters on March 7, 2025, the day before International Women’s Day. The film tells the remarkable true story of Afghanistan’s first all-girls robotics team, a group of young women who defied cultural barriers to pursue their dreams and showcase their ingenuity on a global stage. Sayeed, a prominent voice for Afghan women and a celebrated artist known for her powerful performances, brings her signature passion and authenticity to the project. Her collaboration with the Brooklyn Youth Choir—a talented ensemble of young vocalists—infuses the song with a vibrant, hopeful energy that mirrors the film’s themes of resilience and empowerment.
“Working on ‘We Believe in Hope’ has been a deeply personal and meaningful experience,” said Aryana Sayeed. “This song reflects the spirit of the girls in Rule Breakers—their courage, their dreams, and their unbreakable belief in a better future. Singing alongside the Brooklyn Youth Chorus brought an incredible layer of harmony and optimism to the track, and I’m honored to be part of this inspiring story.”

The collaboration marks a significant moment for Sayeed, who has long used her platform to advocate for education and equality, themes central to Rule Breakers. Having fled Afghanistan in 2021 following the fall of Kabul, Sayeed’s connection to the film’s narrative is profound, making her contribution both artistically and emotionally resonant.
“We are thrilled to have Aryana Sayeed and the Brooklyn Youth Choir lend their extraordinary talents to Rule Breakers,” said Brandon Purdie, Executive Vice President of Global Theatrical of Angel Studios. “Aryana’s voice and story align perfectly with the film’s message, and the choir’s youthful energy amplifies the hope at its core.”
“Jeff Beal, Joan Beal, and Aryana Sayeed sculpted a wonderfully upbeat song with ‘We Believe in Hope’ that is the embodiment of what’s possible when we break down barriers to dream big,” continues Ryan Svendsen, Head of Music at Angel Studios.
