Changing the Way We Display the Angel Guild Score

We are always looking for ways to improve the Angel Guild, and after a lot of feedback, we’re changing how we display the Guild score.

As a refresher, when you join the Angel Guild, you help decide if Angel Studios should take on a project by watching and voting on Torches and films. Torches are concept footage that represent a final film or series.

Each Torch or film receives a score from 1-100. Previously, the minimum passing score was displayed as 45. We are excited to announce that the minimum score required to pass will now be displayed as 70. If your Torch or film scored a 45 in the past, it would now receive a 70. In other words, the Guild is not becoming more difficult to pass. Rather, we have adjusted the score to better reflect the audience's desire and passion for a project. Audiences prefer a number that correlates with grades from academic settings, so we are making this change today.

This score update is intended to better reflect the members’ enthusiasm for a project and help Angel Studios produce more light-amplifying entertainment that changes the industry.
